Artisan Spotlight: Bonbon Bombardier

The leaves are turning, the air is getting crisp and the days are getting shorter. We are heading into the magical time of year full of comfy layers, cozy meet-ups and yummy seasonal treats. What better time to spotlight one of Yobel Market’s favorite local artisans: Bonbon Bombardier?!

Jenny Bazzetta and Sean Price (a married couple who met in high school at a Ska show) are following their Willy Wonka candymaker dreams by creating small-batch craft confections with a playful flair. They use old world candy making techniques, utilizing local, sustainable, organic and non-GMO ingredients, they hope to provide delectable treats perfect for an active lifestyle and the thoughtful gift giver. They even offer vegan options for those avoiding animal products!

Sean and Jenny are always striving to come up with new, interesting candy flavors. They are determined to bring edible joy to their Colorado Springs community and beyond because, according to Jenny, they believe that “one of the secrets of a happy life is continuous small treats” -Iris Murdoch.

We are honored to carry their delicious delicacies, and to partner with a thriving community of individually-owned businesses. As Colorado Springs continues to grow and change, we hope these amazing local makers, like Bonbon Bombardier, will remain a staple in our local economy!

As we remember to give thanks this July 4th, may we also be aware of our influence and responsibility to help others walk towards the freedom we so enjoy all around the world. Much of that freedom directly depends upon political and economic transformation, and we have a role to play in that transformation - whether we realize it or not.
